This has been a big year for VISTE Board member Steve Bissonnette.
In January, he was awarded the prestigious Jere Annis Award by the Leadership Lakeland Alumni Association for his outstanding community involvement.
Last week, he was given the local chapter of Habitat for Humanity’s Lifetime Achievement Award. According to Habitat Lakeland’s CEO Claire Twomey, the group couldn’t have picked a better person to receive the award.
“There was no doubt in my mind that he deserved this,” she said. “He’s a great man.”
“This is such deserved recognition,” said Ashley Miller, volunteer coordinator at VISTE. “We’re delighted to see such a dedicated member of our Board receiving this kind of honor for the devoted service he gives to our community.”
Bissonnette serves as the VISTE Board Vice Chairman and was the Vice Chair of the 2014 VISTEBall.
