VISTE (Volunteers in Service to the Elderly) will celebrate 31 years with its Annual Meeting on May 7 at the VISTE headquarters, according to Alice O’Reilly, VISTE President.
“While this is technically a Board meeting, we always look forward to this special time where invite everyone to join us as we come together to celebrate what VISTE does,” said O’Reilly.
Each May, the nation celebrates Older Americans Month to recognize older Americans for their contributions and provide them with information to help them stay healthy and active. The meeting includes lunch, and will be held from 11:30 a.m. -1:00 p.m. The cost is $10, and reservations are required. The public is invited to attend.
VISTE serves more than 4,000 clients in the Lakeland, Bartow, Ft. Meade and Mulberry areas with the assistance of approximately 1,000 volunteers. The non-profit organization provides transportation, hot meals, commodities and various additional services to their clients.
