Volunteers in Service to the Elderly (VISTE) is seeking candidates to fill the position of part-time

Bookkeeper: The primary duties of the position involve bookkeeping, including financials, payables, receivables, reconciliation, and journal entries. Experience in QuickBooks is highly preferred. Successful candidates will be organized, detail oriented, and possess good communication skills in person, in writing and by telephone. Seeking those experienced in Word, Excel, Outlook, Calendar, and QuickBooks. Position requires working in person at the office, averaging 20-25 hours per week @ $15-$17 per hour. Volunteers in Service to the Elderly (VISTE) is a community-based, non-profit organization serving Lakeland, Bartow, Mulberry and Ft. Meade, Florida.  Established in 1983, the primary goal of VISTE is to enable frail and elderly persons to continue living independently and safely in their own home. We seek a full-time Volunteer Coordinator.  Volunteers are the lifeblood of VISTE and engaged in almost every aspect of our mission. This position contributes to VISTE’s success by overseeing recruitment, training, and acknowledgement of volunteers that assist in the delivery of VISTE programs and services. This includes directly managing volunteers and/or recruiting volunteers for other staff to supervise. A passion for service to the elderly is a must as is experience in working with volunteers. Associate degree and three or more years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience to provide the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary for success. Volunteers in Service to the Elderly (VISTE) is a community-based, non-profit organization serving Lakeland, Bartow, Mulberry and Ft. Meade, Florida. Established in 1983, the primary goal of VISTE is to enable frail and elderly persons to continue living independently and safely in their own home. We seek a full-time transportation driver. The primary duties of the position include transporting clients in a safe, courteous, timely, and professional manner. Candidates must have access to a vehicle in good repair and must be safe, clean and accessible to clients, a valid Florida Driver’s license, and auto insurance. Candidates must demonstrate basic map reading skills or ability to use navigational phone applications as well as knowledge of Polk County geographical area, roads, and locations.
