Development News: “Gratitude Unlocks the Fullness of Life”

As we begin the start of the holiday season it is appropriate that our first holiday focuses on giving thanks. VISTE is so thankful for the many volunteers that are the namesake of the organization, without whom we would not exist. We are also thankful to the many donors who support our good work by giving financially to keep VISTE operating. If not for your time and treasure, VISTE could not continue to provide services to our elderly family, friends, and neighbors.  At this most charitable time of the year, will you please consider a Holiday donation?

As we prepare for the 24th Annual Thanksgiving Meal Delivery to 1,800 local seniors, your donation of $15 will provide a Thanksgiving dinner, with all the fixings, to one grateful VISTE client. Also, in December we’ll deliver 400 Holiday boxes to VISTE clients. Your donation of $25 will fill a box of household essentials, items we often take for granted but mean so much to them.

Finally, it is an understatement to say this year has been unprecedented. VISTE has been a beacon to our clients during the pandemic and will always remain committed to our mission.  Our clients express their gratitude for VISTE every day, but they know that it is because of YOU, they owe the most thanks of all. By making a holiday or year-end donation to VISTE, you affirm your own commitment in serving the elderly. Wishing you and yours a safe, healthy, and beautiful Holiday Season!

Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today and creates a vision for tomorrow. -Melody Beattie
