Did you know that, although VISTE programs and services are free of charge to clients, some still contribute what they can, even $5 a month, because they want to help and show their appreciation? For some, this is the first time they have ever had to accept help just to get by. Others send emails, cards, or call to say thank you.
Here are just a few notes we received from clients during the 2020 Holiday Season. But the thanks really go to YOU – our volunteers and supporters. THANK YOU for all you do to help local seniors – we couldn’t do what we do without YOU!
Dear VISTE staff and Volunteers,
I hope you and your families have a great and healthy Christmas. I really appreciate the phone call I received on my birthday. You have no idea what that call meant to me.
Thank you,
Sue
To VISTE Staff Members,
Thanks a million for my birthday cards for many years and most of all, thanks for the care box that I received this week. May God bless all of you.
Love, Lula
Just got a thank you call from a client for her Christmas present. She was about to hang up, but I asked her what she got. Her voice cracked and she said she was saving it for Christmas day because she wasn’t getting anything else.
Told by Dilsey, VISTE receptionist
Dear VISTE Volunteers,
I very much appreciated the gathered, prepared, and delivered Thanksgiving meals. You all are a blessing! Enjoy the holiday season.
Marlene
Dear VISTE Volunteers,
That was a beautiful turkey dinner. Thank you very much for it and also the pretty poinsettia. It will grace my coffee table for some time to come. Thank you for all you do for us seniors.
Very gratefully,
Clara
VISTE is a life saver for me. I can get to my doctor’s and back and shop if I have to. I wish I could give more, but this is all I can give now.
Marie
Dear VISTE,
Please accept our sincere thanks to VISTE for the Thanksgiving Dinner provided us – for those who prepared the meals, and to Victoria and her cohort who delivered the meal to our home. The meal was very tasty, and meant much to us, particularly during these trying times. It is comforting to know that an organization such as VISTE is a part of our community.
In appreciation,
Maury and Ginny
Dear Folks,
I want to take this time to thank you for the work you are doing, the help you are giving to me and so many others. You make people feel good and live better. God bless you!
Judy

P.S. Thanks for the birthday card this past May.
