Growing a Garden of Gratitude at VISTE

By Kayla McClenthen, Volunteer & Events Manager

At VISTE, our volunteers are the seeds of kindness that help our mission bloom. Every act of service, whether delivering meals, assisting in the office, sorting groceries in the warehouse, building ramps, picking up donations, or serving on committees, helps cultivate a stronger, more caring community for the elderly residents we serve.

Because of your dedication, VISTE continues to thrive and fulfill its mission of helping seniors remain safe and independent in their homes. Over the past three months, our Garden of Gratitude has flourished with incredible growth:

  • 55 new individual volunteers joined our garden of service
  • 3 new volunteer groups stepped in to lend helping hands in the warehouse
  • 16 returning volunteer groups continued nurturing our mission with their ongoing support
  • 400 personal care boxes were delivered to clients, bringing comfort and care directly to their homes
  • We celebrated Red, White, and Kaboom alongside our friends at T-Mims Corp, creating memories and strengthening community connections.

Every volunteer contributes something unique to this garden. Some plant seeds through acts of service, others help nurture growth through their time and talents, and together we create a beautiful space where compassion and care can flourish.

We are deeply grateful for each and every one of you. Your generosity allows our mission to grow stronger with every season, impacting the lives of countless elderly neighbors throughout our community. Thank you for being an essential part of the VISTE family and for helping our Garden of Gratitude bloom.

Together, we’re growing something beautiful. Thank you for helping VISTE thrive!
