Ways to Get Involved

There are several ways individuals, families, and community groups can participate in the weeks leading up to Thanksgiving and on Meal Delivery Day.

Green Bean Snap: Monday, November 23, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. | First Presbyterian Church
A great way for kids to give back! Children and their families are invited to help snap fresh green beans while taking part in a fun Thanksgiving tradition. No registration is required. Participation is first come, first served.

Operation Cranberry: Help us collect 14-ounce cans of jellied cranberry sauce for the Thanksgiving meals. Please deliver donations to VISTE by Friday, November 13, 2026.

Meal Delivery Drivers: Wednesday, November 25, 2026 | RP Funding Center

Help deliver 2,000 Thanksgiving meals to VISTE clients! This family-friendly tradition brings our community together to brighten the holiday for local seniors.

Pre-Register to Deliver Meals: All volunteer drivers must complete our Thanksgiving Meal Delivery application in advance. Spots fill quickly. Once all driver spots are filled, additional volunteers will be placed on the backup driver list. Beginning in November, registered volunteers will receive emails with arrival instructions, pickup details, and what to expect on Meal Delivery Day.

Meal Pickup: Meals and delivery routes will be distributed through a drive-through car line at the RP Funding Center from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. From there, you’ll head out to deliver meals and bring Thanksgiving cheer to seniors in our community.

First Time Volunteering? Welcome! We’ll help you every step of the way, with instructions before Meal Delivery Day and volunteers on-site to guide you when you arrive.

A Tradition Made Possible by You

For 30 years, this tradition has brought our community together to provide Thanksgiving meals and a personal connection to local seniors. Last year’s 29th Annual Thanksgiving Meal Delivery was a tremendous success thanks to the generosity of our volunteers, donors, and community partners.

Whether you’re donating cranberry sauce, snapping green beans, decorating meal bags, or delivering meals, your contribution helps make Thanksgiving special for seniors in our community.
