Working quietly but effectively behind the scenes, Warehouse Manager Tucker Bradshaw helps oversee all aspects of the 23,000 sq. ft. VISTE facility located near downtown Lakeland. Formerly used as a meat processing plant, the property was acquired by VISTE in 2001 as the need for client services increased.
Originally from Lakeland, Tucker volunteered at VISTE before joining the staff in 2018. His sister, Audrey Murphy, also worked at VISTE for several years. In addition, their grandmother is a longtime VISTE client, still living at home at age 95 with the help of VISTE Transportation Services!
At VISTE Tucker can often be seen driving a forklift, moving pallets of donated food and other items for short-term storage before the items are distributed to VISTE clients by volunteers. He also drives the large VISTE box trucks to pick up donated food and other items, monitors the warehouse commercial refrigerators and freezers, coordinates repairs and maintenance, and helps manage the sorting and packing rooms. He also meets incoming delivery trucks and helps offload items from Feeding Tampa Bay, Publix, and other sources.
Tucker holds an AA degree from the Polk State Collegiate program and a BA degree in Cinema Studies from the University of Central Florida. In his spare time he enjoys traveling, cooking, and photography, often serving as the event photographer for VISTE’s major annual fundraiser, VISTEBall. Tucker is also the primary caretaker of VISTE’s elusive but well-loved warehouse cat, “G” (for Grumpy!). THANK YOU, Tucker, for all you do for VISTE and our clients!!
