Hot Meals Coordinator
The Hot Meals Coordinator is a part‑time, non‑exempt position reporting to the Program Director, responsible for overseeing the twice‑weekly distribution of prepared meals to VISTE clients in support of the organization’s mission to help frail elderly persons live independently and safely in their own homes. This role requires strong communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office, knowledge of Polk County geography, and the ability to design efficient delivery routes. The Coordinator supervises and coordinates volunteers across kitchen, sanitation, packaging, and delivery functions, ensures timely and courteous meal distribution, maintains accurate records in agency databases, and collaborates with partner organizations such as Florida Southern College and First Presbyterian Church. The position requires flexibility to work Monday - Thursday mornings from 8:00am - 1:00pm. Food Distribution Program Assistant
Volunteers in Service to the Elderly (VISTE), a nonprofit dedicated to helping seniors remain safe and independent in their homes, is seeking a part-time Food Distribution Program Assistant to support its hot meals and supplemental grocery programs.
Reporting to the Program Director, this role involves assisting with the organization, preparation, and distribution of food, coordinating and supporting volunteers, maintaining client records, and ensuring timely, safe, and courteous service. Candidates should have strong communication and organizational skills, problem-solving ability, computer proficiency, and a valid Florida driver’s license. The position requires flexibility to work weekday mornings starting at 7:30 a.m. and one Saturday per month, as well as the physical ability to lift up to 20 pounds and remain on their feet for extended periods. Driver
Volunteers in Service to the Elderly (VISTE) is a community-based, non-profit organization serving Lakeland, Bartow, Mulberry and Ft. Meade, Florida. Established in 1983, the primary goal of VISTE is to enable elderly persons to continue living independently and safely in their own home.
We are seeking a part-time transportation driver. The primary duties of the position include transporting clients in a safe, courteous, timely, and professional manner. Candidates must have access to a vehicle in good repair and must be safe, clean, and accessible to clients, a valid Florida Driver’s license, and auto insurance. Candidates must demonstrate basic map reading skills or ability to use navigational phone applications as well as knowledge of Polk County geographical area, roads, and locations.
